What Is Phloretin Powder?

It is a dihydrochalcone flavonoid of great purity. Chemically it is 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-(2,4,6-trihydroxyphenyl) propan-1-one. This aglycone component is more biologically active and has better membrane permeability than its glycoside counterpart phlorizin.

It is a chemical present in the root bark and peel of the apple (Malus pumila). It acts as a natural penetration enhancer by altering the membrane dipole potential of lipid bilayers. This technique enables the transdermal transport of co-formulated actives across the stratum corneum.

Your product is good since it may prevent reactive oxygen species (ROS) and can also stabilize sensitive substances like L-Ascorbic Acid. This extract is better than traditional antioxidants which have problems with oxidative destruction.
